Ink Portrait Drawing of a Woman – 263B

This is an original ink portrait drawing of a woman, rendered entirely by hand in profile. The subject looks upward, neck and shoulders bare, hair swept back and gathered in a loose chignon. It is a one-of-a-kind work — not a print, not an edition, but the single original from the studio.
Line by line: how the portrait was built
The face, neck and hair are drawn using dense cross-hatching and free stippling with a pigment liner on 240 gsm fine art paper. No tonal wash, no digital intervention — every shadow on the jaw, every strand pulled into the bun exists because a line was placed there, deliberately, by hand. The chignon in particular reaches a density that approaches pure black, giving the composition its weight and anchoring the upward gaze of the figure.
The background stays white and untouched. That decision is not a lack — it is what keeps the eye moving along the profile, from the clean line of the nose to the loose strands escaping the bun at the nape.
A signed original, reference 263B
This ink portrait drawing of a woman was created in April 2026 and is signed and dated by hand on the back (reference 263B). It is a unique work — once sold, it is gone. The drawing ships carefully protected and ready to frame, directly from the artist, with no gallery in between.
