Blue classical statue painting

Upcoming Signals 41 is an original blue classical statue painting by Italian artist Dario Moschetta. A sculpted head bows slightly, with eyes lowered and a calm, inward expression. Curls frame the face, and the bust opens at the shoulders. Meanwhile, the whole figure glows in pale, icy blue against a deep black ground. The format is square, 40 x 40 cm.

Moschetta builds this classical bust painting in layers. First, he prepares a black ground with a visible, textured surface. Then he transfers the image of the statue onto the canvas and works it with acrylic, oil, pastels and spray paint. As a result, folded, petal-like forms spread across the face, the hair and the shoulders. The marble seems to soften and come alive. In addition, a single stroke of deep cobalt cuts in from the left and breaks the cool monochrome. Up close, the canvas weave shows through the blue, so the surface changes with every step you take toward it.

Original work: material and authenticity

This artwork combines acrylic, oil, pastels, spray paint, stencil, chemical transfer of printing elements and glue on canvas, 40 x 40 cm. The canvas ships unframed, stretched on a wooden frame. The room images show it framed for reference only, and the frame is not included. Moreover, every original comes signed, with a certificate of authenticity and free worldwide shipping. You buy it directly from the studio, with no gallery in between.
