Yellow flower acrylic painting

Simple Balance is an original yellow flower acrylic painting by Italian artist Dario Moschetta, part of the Sunlight Blooms series. Three pale yellow blooms open in the lower right, each with a warm orange centre. Around them, light and dark green leaves climb toward a bright blue sky. Meanwhile, the lower left of the canvas turns into a sandy ground where the leaves cast soft shadows. The format is square, 40 x 40 cm.

Moschetta paints the flowers with broad, calm strokes. Then he breaks that calm with a second layer of raised drops and fine poured lines. Peach, white, orange, ochre, blue and dark green land across the whole surface. As a result, this floral acrylic painting on canvas holds two speeds at once: the stillness of a summer afternoon and the energy of the paint on top. Up close, the drops sit thick on the canvas, so the surface changes with the light.
