Weight of Silence is an original ink and acrylic portrait painting for sale by Italian artist Dario Moschetta. The subject appears in strict profile, face turned left, neck bare, hair gathered in a tight chignon. The square format — 40×40 cm — gives the figure a quiet, self-contained presence.

The palette divides the work in two. Warm ochre and terracotta washes cover the face and neck. Thin acrylic layers build up the colour gradually, letting the canvas texture show through. The hair, however, moves in the opposite direction — cold teal and grey-blue brushstrokes, applied loosely with a wide brush. Furthermore, dense black ink crosshatching structures the form over both areas. Fine parallel lines run across the jaw and neck. Heavier hatching marks the shadow beneath the chin and at the nape.
