A practical guide to choosing
Start from the wall, not from the artwork
Measure the wall, or the piece of furniture the work will hang above. A painting around two thirds the width of a sofa or sideboard usually looks right. On a large empty wall, one strong piece tends to work better than several small ones. Small walls, corridors and bedside spaces suit drawings and 40 × 40 cm works.
Hang it at eye level
Place the centre of the work at about 145 to 150 cm from the floor. Above a sofa, leave around 20 to 25 cm between the top of the sofa and the bottom of the frame.
Follow your first reaction
Portraits create a direct, personal connection. Classical heads bring presence and a sense of history into a modern room. Florals set the colour and the mood of a space. Cityscapes carry memory and narrative. Drawings are the most intimate, and the easiest way to start a collection.
Original or large print
Every painting and drawing is one of a kind, signed, and sold with a certificate of authenticity. Large format fine art prints are made from original works, many of them already in private collections, and let you have that image at a scale that fills a main wall.
Light
Avoid direct sunlight on any artwork, and especially on works on paper. Soft daylight or a warm lamp aimed at the wall shows texture and colour at their best.

Each work ships directly from my studio in Italy, carefully packed and tracked, with free worldwide shipping. You have 7 days from delivery to return it. If you would like a work painted for a specific wall, you can commission an original painting.

Are the artworks original?
Yes. Every painting and drawing is a unique original, signed and sold with a certificate of authenticity. Large format prints are clearly listed as fine art prints.
Do you ship to my country?
Yes, worldwide, with free tracked shipping from my studio in Italy. Orders outside the European Union may be subject to local import duties.
What if the artwork doesn't work in my home?
You can return it within 7 days of delivery. Before buying, you can also send me a photo of your wall and I'll tell you honestly whether the work fits.
Can you paint something for a specific wall?
Yes. Tell me the size, the space and the palette of the room, and I'll propose a subject. Details on the commissions page.
