Natural Collision is an original acrylic painting by Italian artist Dario Moschetta, featured in the Sunlight Blooms V auction.
The work develops through density and accumulation rather than expansion. A luminous green-turquoise field forms the ground, crossed by layered splashes, drips, and chromatic clusters that build a stratified surface. Color does not disperse; it gathers, overlaps, and compresses.
A darker, violet-centered mass anchors the composition, acting as a point of convergence where gesture, weight, and chromatic tension intensify. Surrounding lighter tones — whites, yellows, and greens — collide with this core, generating depth and internal pressure.
Gesture here is cumulative and deliberate. Paint is applied in successive layers, creating a tactile surface where light is absorbed, refracted, and concentrated rather than released. The result is a work defined by gravity, saturation, and controlled tension.
Within Sunlight Blooms V, Natural Collision represents the concentrated pole of the visual dialogue — a counterpoint to expansion, focused on containment, density, and the collision of natural forces translated into abstract form.
This work is part of the ongoing Sunlight Blooms series. Collectors can also view the previous Sunlight Blooms II auction to explore the development of this body of work.
