These portraits do not aim to describe identity, character or narrative.
They explore presence.
Faces emerge through layers of acrylic and pastel, then partially dissolve, leaving traces, interruptions and fragments. What remains visible is never fixed, never definitive.
The female figure becomes a surface where time, memory and gesture accumulate.

In this series, the portrait is not treated as representation or likeness.
The image is intentionally unstable. Expression appears and retreats. The gaze is often indirect, suspended or fragmented.
