Ancient Beauty is a closed body of works that engages with classical sculpture not as an icon of the past, but as an unstable form placed under contemporary pressure.
Rather than preserving the classical image, the series deliberately exposes its fragility. What was once considered timeless is forced to confront impermanence, distortion and material instability.
These works do not celebrate antiquity. They question it.
Classical heads — historically associated with perfection, balance and permanence — are fragmented, interrupted and re-coded through contemporary gesture, material tension and painterly instability.
What appears familiar is deliberately unsettled.

In Ancient Beauty, classical beauty is not treated as nostalgia or quotation. It is treated as a problem.
The series explores what happens when a form historically associated with eternity is forced to exist within the conditions of the present.
Acrylic and pastel are layered, disrupted, sometimes allowed to fail. The classical head loses its function as an ideal and becomes a site of tension.

Ancient Beauty è un corpo di lavori concluso che affronta la scultura classica non come eredità da preservare, ma come forma instabile sottoposta a tensione contemporanea.
Anziché conservare l’immagine classica, la serie ne espone deliberatamente la fragilità. Ciò che era considerato senza tempo è costretto a confrontarsi con impermanenza, distorsione e instabilità materiale.
Queste opere non celebrano l’antico. Lo interrogano.
Le teste classiche — storicamente associate a perfezione, equilibrio e permanenza — vengono frammentate, interrotte e ricodificate attraverso gesto contemporaneo, tensione materica e instabilità pittorica.
Ciò che appare familiare viene intenzionalmente destabilizzato.

In Ancient Beauty, la bellezza classica non è trattata come citazione né come nostalgia. È trattata come problema.
La serie indaga cosa accade quando una forma storicamente associata all’eternità è costretta a esistere nelle condizioni del presente.
Acrilico e pastello vengono sovrapposti, disturbati, talvolta lasciati fallire. La testa classica perde la funzione di ideale e diventa un punto di frizione.
